The Challenge
Manuel Martinez hosts a podcast that dives deep into very diverse career paths and personal histories. The challenge was to create a logo that felt professional enough for "career talk" but exciting enough to grab the attention of digital nomads and modern professionals. It needed to represent the idea of a guest sharing their inner secrets and techniques.
Our Approach
I went with a character-based icon to give the podcast a "mascot" feel. The hood and headset create a sense of deep focus and concentration. By replacing the face with a glowing microphone, I visually represented the concept that each guest is a source of valuable data. For the text, I used a modern sans-serif font and customized the 'E's and 'R's with sharp, angular cuts to match the "download" and tech-heavy theme of the show.
The Outcome
The result is a bold, "gaming-adjacent" aesthetic that feels fresh and high-energy. It moves away from the boring, corporate look of typical career advice channels and instead frames job history and professional techniques as high-value data. It’s perfect for YouTube thumbnails, social media profiles, and podcast app icons.
